NOTES
Additional Information:CORBELLED WINDOW FRAMES AND HEAVY STONE SILLS. ALTERED FIRST FLR. SITE OF ATTORNEY N. JOHNSON BLDG, 1885.

This building was constructed in 1898 as a commercial building for Williams Sanders; it replaced his grocery store that burned down in the 1898 fire. Sanders, in addition to his commercial endeavors, engaged in banking and insurance on an informal basis until he chartered the State Bank of Waterford in 1903. The bank remained at this location until at least 1926.
