When Heffner's Opera Block opened in 1909, a hardware store occupied the principal storefront (north), while a saloon was housed in the smaller storefront (south). The opera house was located on the second floor. In 1926, the opera house still occupied the second floor, the store in the principal storefront was unidentified, and a print shop was operating in the smaller storefront.
