NOTES
Additional Information:Tax assessor's records indicate a 1931 date of construction.
There are two conflicting stories regarding this house--the first notes that after the large house to the south (W315 N7631) was sold from Mrs. Minnie Sleep to Dr. F.J. Donnelly that Sleep retained a small parcel for herself and built the subject structure. This story was provided by the niece of Donnelly, Mrs. Gertrude Arndorfer. The second story notes that the house was constructed by Herbert W. Brown, the owner of the lumber yard and that the house was a Sears, Roebuck & Co. design. Arndorfer notes that Brown may have been the physical builder of the home; however, Mrs. Sleep lived here. REC said NE on 12/11/2002.
Bibliographic References:Mrs. Gertrude Arndorfer and Ms. Jean Anne Frederickson--both long-time residents of North Lake. Date fo construction from tax assessor's records.
