Additional Information: | One of 10 outbuildings on the property. See also record 122523 for house. Small milkhouse and silo are attached to the barn. South of the barn is a c. 1920s hog barn covered in drop siding and protected by a metal roof. Other structures include a small animal barn sheathed in drop siding, two circular, metal grain bins (c 1950), a circular wire-mesh corn crib, an aluminum sided garage, and 3 additional outbuildings. Stoppenbach was a farmer and carpenter. By 1916, the farm was owned by Paul Rufnacht who sold it prior to 1923 to Leo Koltes. In 1933, Herman Laatsch purchased the property and lived there until the late 1950s. |
