Additional Information: | November 2001-This two-story, frame, American Foursquare house sits on a concrete block foundation and was erected to serve as the parsonage for the Methodist church next door. The hip roof is covered with asphalt shingles. The house exhibits 1/1 windows. The first story is finished with clapboards up to the sills of the second story windows. Above, the house is clad with wood shingles. Although the house exhibits Foursquare form, the finish gives it a Craftsman flavor, which is further enhanced by the battered posts that support the hip-roofed, full-façade front porch. The cottage windows that flank the front door, however, show the influence of the Queen Anne style in their lozenge-patterned, leaded-glass headers. |
