Additional Information: | September 2001-This two-story, vernacular house was constructed c. 1910. The house, which has a dressed stone foundation, has a T-shaped plan with an asphalt-shingled gable roof and aluminum siding. The windows are one-over-one, double-hung sash, with the exception of a modern picture window on the first floor of the main façade. A hipped-roof porch is supported by a Doric pillar while its wood deck is supported by stone piers. A one-story, hipped-roof bay window is located on the east façade. This farmstead has two outbuildings and a concrete silo. A small shed (c. 1900) has a standing seam metal roof, a stone foundation, and vertical board siding. The barn, constructed c. 1900, has an asphalt-shingled roof with side gables and a centered projecting gable on the side elevation. The gables feature decorative vergeboard and fixed-windows in their peaks. The barn has vertical board siding and is supported by an uncoursed rubblestone foundation. A one-story addition extends from the northeast elevation of this barn and is comprised of two sections. The first section has an asphalt-shingled gable roof and is concrete block. The second section has a standing seam metal roof, vertical board siding, and a stone foundation. |
