Additional Information: | January 2002-This one and one-half story gabled ell house was constructed c. 1910. It is of frame construction, clad in clapboard, and rests on a stone foundation. A front gable is located on the main façade of the ell. The windows display simple wood hoods. A shed roof porch is located across the ell. The stone foundation has been painted, windows have been replaced, porch columns have been replaced, and decorative window shutters have been added. The house has been converted into two apartments. A one-story, front gable, frame garage is located at the rear of the property. This property may be acquired as part of the STH 13 reconstruction project. Statement of Significance: This property was evaluated for the NRHP under Criterion C. It is an altered example of a gable ell house and lacks sufficient architectural interest to qualify for listing on the NRHP under Criterion C. No evidence was found to suggest that the house qualifies for the NRHP under Criterion A or B. A DOE is not recommended. |
