The combination of aesbestos shingle siding and modern fenestration has significantly altered the homes historic integrity.

According to historic plat maps, a structure first appeared on this property in 1889. Fred Euchs was the owner of the parcel and it is likely that all of the farm's associated structures were erected during his tenure. G. Steurwald obtained the land by 1902. According to a plat map of that year, a store or business of some sort may have existed behind the house. William Brookshire owned the parcel from 1916 until at least 1950, when William Illian obtained the land.
