Additional Information: | Initials on both the 1889 and 1902 plat maps and tax roll information indicates that this house was owned by M.R., presumably M. Robinson and later his wife. In 1916, it was under the ownership of "C.H." By the circa 1920's, it was under the ownership of Edgar Mey, whose parents owned the larger residence two houses to the west. Mey was born in that adjacent home in January 1881, the son of Henry Otilla Mey. After both his mother and father passed on in 1916 and 1918, respectively, the younger Mey sold the larger farmstead residence and purchased this smaller home for himself. Mey never married and died in 1963. |
