It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 1999: The factory was probably built for the Benedix family, who operated the cheese factory from at least 1892 until at least 191. The barn displays rock-faced, stone quoins but has been altered by the addition of a shed roofed garage and the installation of glass block in most of the window openings. The current owner is Edwin Mallory. cheese factory 2025: This 1913 cheese factory is a one-and-one-half-story fieldstone barn with asphalt shingle gambrel roof, horizontal wood siding on the gable ends, glass block and one-over-one vinyl windows, and a shed roof addition. Associated house (AHI 120545) demolished circa 2005. |
