Additional Information: | Minimal Traditional style. 2012: No exterior changes; courtesy digital photo provided. 2000: "Likely constructed in the 1950s, the subject one-story, gable house rises from a concrete foundation and is sheathed with brick. All windows feature multiple-light panes and all openings are topped with stone accent trim. As early as 1939, Arthur Ebeling occupied what was at that time a 120-acre parcel. Ten years later, the Ebeling property was significantly reduced to a mere 20 acres. Shortly thereafter, it is likely that the subject house was constructed. Ebeling maintained the property until the early-to-mid 1970s. By 1978, the subject house was situated on only a 5-acre parcel. Since Ebeling had continually maintained the corner parcel of Section 17, it is possible that he also ran the gas/service station at the southwestern corner of STHs 164 & 167; however, local informants were unable to verify that possibility. No further information was found in regard to Ebeling." |
