Additional Information: | Praire School-influenced Craftsman style house now resided in narrow guage aluminum clapboards. 2023: Resurveyed for the Franklin Street - W. Green Bay Street Residential Historic District DOE. The Frank E. Mielke House is a two-and-a-half-story, Craftsman style house with Prairie School influences that was constructed in 1920. The house has a rectilinear footprint resting on a stone foundation, with walls clad in vinyl replacement siding, and is covered by a side-gabled roof with wide overhanging eaves accented with wood knee brackets. The symmetrical façade is organized into three fenestration bays with the main entry centered on the first story. The entry is sheltered by a front-gabled porch with heavy brick columns and half-walls. A shed-roof dormer is centered on the east roof slope.
