Additional Information: | This small truss bridge sits in a wooded area off of Lamplighter road. It is a metal bridge with a Pratt truss framing style. It was probably moved to this location to cover one of the many streams running through the Town of Wells and to provide access to some property. Whatever road or driveway that once connected to the bridge has deteriorated and can no longer be noticed. According to Monroe County Proceedings, this type of bridge was being built around 1908, prior to the period when the county began building concrete bridges around 1920. Its condition is poor, but the structural elements are extant. |
