NOTES
Additional Information:The first available historical document regarding this structure is an 1898 insurance record, which lists Nels Hanson as the owner. He maintained a shoemaking shop on the premises. It is not clear whether Hanson began his venture at this site; however, village directories reveal that he was in business as early as 1891. Hanson apparently died sometime prior to 1917, when a directory listed Mrs. N. Hanson as the store's owner. By 1920, the business had ceased operation.

A Sandborn map from 1932 portrays the property as a store. After World War II, Don Heiliger opened a radio and television repair shop. He maintained his business into the late 1950s.
