Additional Information: | Historic name interpreted from historic plats. Other buildings include bank barn, silo, granary, shed and cribs. This two-story residence has some original two-over-two windows that are accented with raised, decorative wooden window heads. Several replacement sashes resulted in the infilling of some of the origial rounded arches. Along the south elevation is a one-story, open, replacement porch. Historical maps indicate that John O. Garry owned the aproximately 174 acres associated this property in 1860. He, or possible subsequent owner W. Priebusch built the circa 1870 farmhouse. By the time W. Priebusch owned the property in 1873, the farmstead consisted of seventy acres; by 1878, it encompassed 100 acres. Henry Priebusch assumed ownership by 1910. And by 1920, the farm appears to have been limited to 95 acres. It remained in the Priebusch family until at least 1947. |
