Additional Information:ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Excellent example of a Victorian summer cottage in nearly original condition. Note large veranda and 2nd floor porch. Construction date, 1851. (1) Christian Clafendetcher, Original Owner, 1921. (2) HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This is a very unusual style of residence located near the Milwaukee River. It is possible that the tax program date refers to an early farmhouse that was later remodeled into a summer retreat. Tax Key# 280-9979-4
