Additional Information:ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Although this house has been severely altered (fenestration and siding), it is one of the few surviving pre-Civil War farmhouses in the Town of Lake. Construction date, circa 1860; later alterations. (1) P. Boos (?) Original Owner, farm residence. (2) HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE : Home of philip Boos (Bass?), a native of Rhine, Prussia, who settled in the Town of Lake in 1848. He made his living as a farmer and gardener. No original building permit on file.
