Additional Information: | Architectural Significance: This structure is a good example of a small semi-public building designed in the Georgian Revival. Traditional to the style is the use of red brick trimmed with stone. There is no main building permit. Historical Significance: This structure was the former Telephone Exchange for the town of North Milwaukee. The town was incorporated as a village in 1897; became a city in 1918; and was annexed by Milwaukee in 1929. |
