Carpenter was William Lehmann and Co. Salem Church was created under the Evangelical Synod through Friedens Evangelical Church. Incorporated as Salem Church in 1893. Salem Evangelical Church merged with Faith Church in 1953 to form Hope United Church of Christ. Faith Church was organized in 1897 and was known as Glaubens Church at N. 5th and W. Clarke. They were under the Evangelical Synod in 1899. In 1944 they changed to Faith Church. |
