Additional Information: | 4381 N. 26th Street is a Model 6A, "..a two-story, front-gabled cottage that features a small, gabled front entry porch with an elliptically-arched ceiling. The porch roof rests on groupings of three square wooden posts at each outside corner, and the railing is composed of simple, rectangular wooden balusters. Flanking the porch are paired double-hung sash windows. The fenestration of the second story consists of two symmetically paired double-hung windows. A louvered attic vent is centered in the gable. The other elevations are simply composed featuring windows and doors randomly placed to respond to interior needs." "A rear, one-story addition was built in 1960 to enlarge the kitchen and dining room. The exterior has been aluminum-sided, and the front porch has been enclosed." (A). |
