Additional Information: | THIS IS A ONE AND A HALF-STORY RESIDENCE WITH PAINTED MILWAUKEE-CREAM BRICK FOUNDATIONS, SIDED-OVER EXTERIOR WALLS AND A GABLE ROOF. A DISTINGUISHING FEATURE OF THE HOUSE IS ITS LARGE, TWO-STORY CORNER TOWER; A GAMBREL PEDIMENTROUND ARCHED WINDOW APPEARS IN THE TOWER'S SECOND STORY. PROJECTING FORWARD ON THE FACADE IS A PEDIMENT SPINDLEWORK PORCH, DETAILED WITH TURNED POSTS AND BALUSTRADED RAILINGS. THE DESIGN OF THIS DWELLING IS ATTRIBUTED TO ARCHITECT Lambert Bassindale. (SEE BIB. REF. A). Carl F Hansen, a draftsman, lived here from at least 1912 until 1942. |
