NOTES
Additional Information:Builder was Maur. This two story masonry commercial structure is typical of the highly stylized and three dimensional facades created by architect Messmer. A corner faceted turret is capped with a mansard roof. Three large double hung windows form the rest of the upper facade, with the north window set off by pilasters and a highly detailed pediment. A simple cornice and a good deal of decorative detail completes the picture. The storefront has been substantially altered; only the north storefront pier and recessed doorway remain largely intact. Excellent example of a brick block of this date in nearly original condition.
