NOTES
Additional Information:M in the photo codes is short for Menomonee Valley negatives.

2010: This two-story, commercial vernacular is constructed of brick. Its main (east) facade features a central entrance flanked to either side by paired double-hung sashes. Each opening is defined by a heavy lintel with small ornamental rosettes. The entrance also features a tripartite transom. The second story is pierced by three segmental-arch openings filled with paired double-hung sashes. The top of the main facade carries a modestly corbelled parapet. The other visible facades are devoid of fenestration or ornamentation.

This building was constructed as a fire station in 1866 at a cost of $8,788. It originally included a seventy-foot tall tower and horse barn. The station housed Engine Company #4. The station was moved to a different location in 1888 and the building was later occupied by the H.J. Delaney Company--an oil dealer. A new facade was constructed in 1901 that completely removed all aspects that defined the building as a fire station.
