Additional Information: | 2024: Formerly a spice manufacturer, the two-story industrial building was constructed in 1947. It is rectangular in plan and constructed of reinforced concrete block on steel girders and columns with a flat roof. The storefront elevations are faced in incised, stone aggregate faced concrete block. The principal, west-facing, elevation is symmetrical arranged in five bays. In the first story, a recessed entrance, consisting of a single entrance with mirroring display cases, is flanked by wide openings with three single pane fixed sash windows divided by steel mullions. These are then flanked by individual single pane fixed sash windows. The second story mimics the first with a wide window opening above the entrance. The north elevation contains regularly spaced windows openings filled with glass block. The south elevation contains a vehicular entrance as well as a series of regularly spaced window openings. --- 2016 - Replacement windows and doors, infilled and reconfigured openings. |
