Additional Information:A map of Milwaukee published in 1855-1856 shows that this was the only building on the east side of Clinton (now S. 1st St.) between Scott and Railroad (now Greenfield).

Sweet was an early settler, outspoken politician, and businessman.

Rear block addition, built in 1916. Partially collapsed on April 24, 2010. Was being used for storage.
