NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Map code originally was CT #/#; the CT presumably meant city and was stripped off. PEDIMENTED GABLE. PILASTERS. In the center of the pediment is a roundel. Also features a one-story frame extension to the rear and an entrance wing with bay window on the south elevation. Had been a duplex for many years. In c. 2005, owners Joel and Julie Venn restored the house to a single family dwelling. Originally located on the southwest corner of Wisconsin and 12th. Moved to present location around 1877.[A] Mr. Billings was a carpenter and builder, and Mr. Crosby (who bought the lot the where the house now stands) was a clerk for the Western Union Railroad. [B] Converted to a duplex then converted back to a single family residence around 2005.
