Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. City Directories indicate that Frank Eighmy was the first owner of the house. However, shortly thereafter Mayme Kahlenberg had moved into the house. It is unclear whether she purchased it or rented from Mr. Eighmy. Mrs. Kahlenberg moved into the house shortly after her husband Otto died in 1927. Otto had been a prominent businessman in Two Rivers, having started Kahlenberg Industries which manufactured gasoline marine engines. By 1939, Frank W. Eighmy was living in the house where he resided until his death in 1961. Eighmy was a pharmacist and was in real estate. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Norsetter owned the property from the early 1960's until 1989. |
