Additional Information: | This 2 1/2 story Boomtown building was constructed in 1901 . It is rectangular in plan with stucco walls and a gable roof behind a parapet with a steeply-pitched center gable and pairs of decorative brackets. The front elevation faces northwest and is asymmetrical in plan with shop windows in the center of the first floor and recessed single doors at each end. The second story contains a pair of 1-over-1 windows and a single 1-over-1 window. A narrow pair of 2-over-2 windows is located below the parapet gable. Permission to photograph the building's interior was not available at the time of this survey; a view through the front shop windows, however, indicates that no original interior surface materials remain and that the building is no longer identifiable as a grocery store (it currently functions as a dog training/grooming facility). Resurveyed August 2012; changes include the removal of T1-11 siding, a wood shingled awning, and a picture window from the first story and the addition of new shop windows and a new door. |
