Additional Information: | This two story Twentieth Century Commercial style building was built in 1927. It is clad in tan brick with stone trim. The storefront was replaced sometime after WWII; the current storefront has white and dark red brick arranged in stack bond panels, storefront windows behind a screen of vertical aluminum louvers, aluminum-framed entry doors, and a polished steel ledge cornice across the storefront opening. Above the cornice are polished steel letters reading "SLOGA", referring to the Sloga Fraternal Life Insurance Society that occupied the building between the mid-1940s and the 1990s. The second story contains single and paired eight-over-one double hung windows with stone sills. The building is capped with a modest stone cornice and a brick parapet with decorative stone panels. |
