NOTES
Additional Information:Partners, Evert Roth & Erwin Anderson. This one story Minimal Georgian style funeral home was built in 1927 and designed by architect Richard Oberst. The building is clad in tapestry brick with brick quoins and cast stone trim. The front elevation is symmetrical, with a central door with fanlight flanked by tall eight-over-twelve double hung windows that are topped with brick blind arches. The front door has a lacy cast-iron porch with a flared metal roof and curving concrete steps; it is unclear if this metal porch is original to the building or was installed later. The building is capped with a painted metal cornice with dentil mold and modillions. Fenestration on the side elevations is similar to the front elevation, with tall windows as well as windows in the raised basement story. A flat-roofed port cochere with square brick piers is located on the west elevation of the building.
