Additional Information: | This two story Queen Anne style double house was one of two duplexes built by developer J.B. Van Norman. The other, 2334 W. National Ave. (AHI #104143), is located next door. The building was constructed in 1890 and has a hipped roof with lower gables. It is clad in vinyl siding with replacement trim, windows, and eaves. The building retains its distinctive Queen Anne form, however, including its two cutaway entry porches, projecting two story rectangular bay, variety of window shapes and placement, and prominent gables, one with a diminutive Palladian window. |
