"This Italianate house was built by John and Henrietta Partridge in 1856. Partridge migrated to Whitewater in 1846 and set up a mercantile business. From 1857 to 1892 he was a partner in the Winchester and Partridge Manufacturing Co., which made popular wagons, including the "Whitewater Wagon."
