NOTES
Additional Information:PAIRED BRACKETS UNDER EAVES. PILASTERS.
Rising two stories, this house is topped with a hipped roof. Its wide, overhanging eaves are underscored by paired and carved wooden brackets, while the rectangular bay window to the south is also lined with bracket trim. The front (east) porch is open and consists of square, wooden supports and a simple wooden balustrade. A single door with sidelights is located near the south end of the porch, while a tripartite picture window is located to the north. A series of three sash windows line the second floor. Windows along the remainder of the home appear to be regularly placed, single sash examples.

This house was previously surveyed in 1974 (mapped as 32 on DOT sharon) and was then sheathed with asbestos; it has since been re-sheathed with narrow vinyl.

Jeremiah Daniels was born in New York in 1828 and moved to McHenry County, Illinois in 1853. He moved to Sharon in the spring of 1859. Daniels was a master carpenter and was responsible for much of the early construction in the Village of Sharon. He died on 15 November 1889. His son Leslie was also a carpenter and was responsible for many Sharon homes around the turn of the century.
