SUMMARY
This seven-block residential neighborhood of 93 historic buildings between North 27th and 34th streets was part of an early city plan to create landscaped boulevards linking major parks. Built between 1901 and 1910, these large homes were designed in formal styles by prominent German architects often with Teutonic features for German-American businessmen. They were used as houses until 1930 when they were divided into apartments.
