Built between 1880 and 1934, these ten buildings in Victorian commercial architectural styles lie in a two-block area along Main Street north of the Mississippi River. The district was rebuilt after an 1888 fire, but it never saw the prosperity of its former days. The two-story buildings maintain their turn-of-the-century charm and character. |
