SUMMARY
Built between 1847 and 1937 on a hill east of the Rock River, this large residential neighborhood along East Center and Prospect Avenue includes 129 homes on small lots with few modern intrusions. Half of the houses are of Queen Anne, Bungalow, Foursquare, Italianate, and period revival styles built for the wealthy. The other half represent historic vernacular forms where middle-class families resided.
