Among the items on offer was the $1.35 a la carte special: the White House Sandwich (turkey "on toast with creamed mushroom sauce, served in a casserole and sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese") or the Manhattan (a slice of ham added to the same sandwich). The options for complete dinners included Broiled French Lamb Chops with Mint Jelly ($3.25) and Jumbo Louisiana Frog Legs with Tartar Sauce ($2.75). |
