Man Delivering Bread to New York Grocery Store
View from street of a man delivering Levy and Sons Bakery rye bread to a New York City delicatessen and grocery store. The truck is an International Harvester model MA-1500 Metro, and has "Levy's Bread" written on the front. On the side of the truck is written: "Don't Leave Without Levy's" and there is also a framed advertising poster showing a smiling Chinese man eating a rye bread sandwich. Signs in the storefront depict a skier jumping and say: "Enjoy Coca-Cola," "Schaefer," "Cold Beer Here." On the corner is a street sign for Onderdonk Avenue. The photo caption reads: "Baker's use of Metro truck walls for display of distinctive posters is exemplified as camera catches route salesman servicing a stop in Ridgewood, Queens, N.Y. Uniformly marked, fleet handling Levy's store-to-store deliveries includes 36 new MA-1500 International trucks." |
