Dog Clearing Bar Table
Four men playing cards at a table with a fifth man seated on a radiator observing at left. In the foreground, a dog clears an empty beer bottle from the table. The dog, Fido, was trained by the bar owner, Ernie Thierstein, to remove beer bottles from tables when and only when they are empty. The men at the table are identified as (left to right): John Marty, Henry B. Hefty, Casper Zentner, and J. Henry Zentner. The man on the radiator is unidentified, possibly Ernie Thierstein. |
