Workers in Stone Quarry
Color photo of workers cutting blocks of limestone in a quarry. There are what appear to be moveable platforms on tracks at the bottom of the face of the area being cut into, and workers standing on these platforms. Workers can also be seen standing on a large block of stone at the bottom of the face. A large crane-like structure, and numerous rough cut blocks of stone, are in the background. The quarry is the David Elliott Stone Company's Shawnee deposit. |
