Children Looking at "Save Our Cats" Mural on Trailer

View of a group of children in jackets and an adult looking at a mural of endangered big cat species painted on a trailer. The painting was part of one of several murals showing endangered land animals commissioned by Clipper Exxpress founder Jerry G. Chambers. The murals were created under the direction of Ricardo Alonzo, muralist and director of Chicago's West Town Community Youth Art Center, and his assistant Jose Gonzalez. The animals depicted are possily a lion, tiger, lynx, and puma. The photograph was taken along the Chicago lakefront, and the lake and several Chicago buildings can be seen in the background. Attached to the front of the trailer is a white International Harvester F-2010A truck. The door of the truck reads, "Operated by March Tranport Co., 3401 W. Pershing Rd., Chicago Ill." |
