In this photo-collage, part of a promotional still from Charlie Chaplin's film "The Adventurer" with an actor wearing a huge false beard and moustache closely examining Chaplin's face is combined with a circular photograph of the actor without his beard. This paste-up apparently was made for Photoplay Magazine. The bearded actor was purported to be Eric Campbell in the caption. Strangely, the heads of the actor with and without makeup are not Campbell who was a younger and not nearly so bald man. |
