| This 1911 map of the geology of northern Wisconsin between Superior and Hurley was published by the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey in Fredrik Turville Thwaites' Sandstones of the Wisconsin coast of Lake Superior. Depths in Lake Superior, the township and range grid, the La Pointe Indian Reservation, cities and villages, railroads, and lakes and streams are depicted on the map and five structure sections appear in the lower margin. |
