Map of Half Moon Lake and Region Around Chippewa River

Prepared by Robert K. Boyd for his article "Up and down the Chippewa River" which appeared in the March 1931 issue of the Wisconsin Magazine of History, this manuscript map shows Halfmoon Lake, which was used as a reservoir for logs, its natural outlet, the canal connecting the lake to the Chippewa River, and the pocket boom at the mouth of that canal. This area is now in the city of Eau Claire. |
