One Millionth Telephone in Wisconsin Installed
The original caption states: "the Wisconsin Telephone Co.'s one-millionth telephone now in service was presented to Gov. Vernon W. Thomson by Charles E. Wampler, president of the company. The green-colored telephone was installed in the governor's Wisconsin State Capitol office during a brief ceremony. It came complete with a narrow, gold band inscription and special plate bearing the state seal. The company observed another milestone earlier this year when it completed 75 years of service throughout the state." |
