The press release that accompanied the original photograph reads: "Oakland, CALIF, -- Diesel-powered International LTCD-405, a cab-over-engine model with trailing axle, operates under lease from Walkup Drayage and Warehouse Company to Ryerson Steel Service. The 134-inch wheelbase tractor, equipped with 10-speed transmission with overdrive, pulls a 35-foot, eight-inch flatbed tandem-axle semi-trailer 200 miles a day in steel-hauling service. The tractor was built at International Harvester Company's Emeryville, Calif., plant." |
