"New Voters — It was "Swear In to Vote Day' at Pulaski High School. Students who have reached 18 were sworn in as voters during a ceremony at the school, at 27th Street and Oklahoma Avenue. Most area high schools have authorized registration officers to visit, and similar ceremonies are held several times a year. At right, handling the oath-taking duties for some 30 new voters were Anne Canarie, a teacher-librarian, and Donald Soucie, a social studies teacher." |
