Obey at Ground Zero
Wisconsin Congressman David R. Obey (right) touring the World Trade Center Ground Zero site a few days after the 9/11 attack. Obey was there as the senior Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee. With Obey is an unidentified FBI officer. The woman in the background is also unidentified. She is wearing a 9/11 "never forget" ribbon. Further in the background, on what is thought to be the West Side Highway, is a large dust pile. |
