This Reminds Me of a Little Joke

A political cartoon of President Abraham Lincoln holding a tiny General George McClellan in the palm of his hand. McClellan is carrying a spade. Lincoln is saying: "This reminds me of a little joke." This is a reference to McClellan's enemies saying that he spent more time digging defensive trenches than fighting the Confederate army. Lincoln and McClellan were both running for president in 1864. |
