David Obey at Ground Zero
Wisconsin Congressman David R. Obey (right, in the blue shirt) touring the 9/11 Ground Zero site with an unidentified FBI official, Joan Obey, and an unidentified individual in a dust mask. As the leading Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, Obey was in New York City only a few days after 9/11 to review plans for the cleanup. In the background is the debris pile of the World Trade Center, which collapsed during the afternoon of 9/11, and the damaged facade of the building of 30 West Broadway. |
